Since the discovery of Shadow Fredericksburg more has been done to dig into its lore and customs.
One important event that the Shadow people revere is the Twilight of the Cloud Gods (good band name, we know). From what our dedicated researchers can tell this is a holiday that celebrates when the cloud gods simply popped into existence one day forming the clouds, much like the earth god, moon god, and sun god. However, they especially love their cloud gods as they bring excitement into their lives via flooding and blizzards.
There most important law there is that rules aren’t meant to be strictly followed and therefore the law is that all rules must be bent. Is that confusing and terrible? Yes, yes it is. However, everything about this place is seemingly confusing and terrible.
They also have a strange way of writing.
For example, if a poem in our world was written like this-
There once was a young lass who danced.
She liked reading and she tranced.
With a terrible roar, She fell to the floor,
She couldn’t resist the underfinanced.
They might write it like this –
She couldn’t resist the underfinanced.
She fell to the floor,
With a terrible roar,
She liked reading and she tranced
